Period

Last 13 years

I'm a senior Symfony and PHP developer with 13 years of production experience and about 9,000 commits across 29 active repositories. I build and run complex web platforms end to end - from Doctrine data models and Symfony back ends to Vue.js front ends, payments and deployment. Companies hire me as a freelance Symfony developer for long-term remote work, or as a Symfony consultant for upgrades and modernisation of older Symfony apps.

What I build with Symfony and PHP

Marketplaces and SaaS platforms on Symfony 7 and PHP 8
Complex Doctrine data models, migrations and data import pipelines
Payments and billing with Stripe (webhooks, SEPA direct debit, payouts, invoicing)
Integrations: HubSpot, Google APIs, OpenAI, Amazon Product Advertising API
Symfony upgrades and modernisation with Rector, PHPUnit and PHPStan

Selected projects

Hiremotely (2020 - present): lead developer of a Symfony 7 + Vue 3 marketplace with ATS, skills testing, contracting, timesheets, invoicing and Stripe payments. Led a team of 6-8 contributors and authored about 3,000 commits.
Imaging Resource (2014 - 2022): Symfony back end and front end of a large US camera and lens review site - specification database, A-vs-B comparison engine, affiliate pricing and ad stack. Sole developer from 2017, about 3,700 commits.
Sandoz / Hexal (2017 - 2020): interactive pharma sales presentations in Vue.js and JavaScript for Veeva CLM and Pitcher.

How I use AI in development

I work agent-first with Claude Code and other AI coding agents. I write the spec and acceptance criteria, agents handle implementation, refactoring and tests, and I review every change before it is merged. It lets me ship much faster while keeping full control over architecture and code quality. If you want to hire an AI-assisted PHP developer who already works as a Claude Code expert every day, not one who is just starting with AI tools, this is how I work.

How I work

I deliver in clear, documented phases with tests from day one (PHPUnit, Vitest, Playwright). I also build Flutter mobile apps.

I work remotely from Prague (CET) with clients in the EU and the US, and communicate in English and Czech.
