I am a software engineer with a passion for beautiful code architecture and functional paradigms. I value a company culture of autonomy, mentorship, transparency, with opportunities for personal and professional growth. My primary expertise is in robust, concise and performant backend development. I was affected by layoffs at CareRev in June 2023, and shortly after, fell to ill-health, and am fully recovered now. Lead Backend Engineer on a small team. Joined the company at early stage with only 8 engineers, and grew to 100+ engineers in 2 years. Built from scratch as sole engineer a new product to launch a $50M annual revenue stream. Promoted from Mid-level to Senior in April 2022. On-call rotation every 30-60 days for 1 week to investigate crashes. Significantly reduced the rate of nurses being waitlisted for shifts. Integrated and optimized external APIs, decreasing nurse license verification time from 60 days to less than 10 seconds.

Ruby/Rails backend work on a small agile team. Optimized ElasticSearch queries with end-to-end testing. Processed 10+ billion records into a single report for a high-performance website with millions of daily unique users.
